DENIM DENIM DENIM DENIM

I'm all about denim. I wear jeans four days out of the week (including the weekend). There's something about wrestling on a super tight pair of ripped-at-the-knees skinnies that just has the power to make you feel comfortable and badass at the same time. It's great.

So you can probably imagine how happy I was when I stumbled upon Collection, a tiny clothing store in Echo Park packed with racks on racks of vintage denim.

After trying on 20+ pairs of jeans, I felt like I'd gotten my daily cardio out of the way (not that I do cardio everyday...). I was sweating up a storm, but at the end I had found the perfect pair of jeans - light wash, ripped in the left knee, and tight in the butt. Gotta show off those assets, if you know what I'm sayin.

GIFT GUIDE: accessories

GIFT GUIDE: accessories

Are you freaking out about holiday shopping, yet? Hopefully this third (and final) gift guide will finally help you find that gift for that person you've just been stumped on what to get.

My favorites in this set are probably the pins (which seem to be making a HUGE comeback), the dainty jewelry from Vrai & Oro, and the "bad bitch" necklace from IGWT.

I recently collaborated with Vrai & Oro on a Black Friday Instagram post and immediately fell in love with their environmentally-conscious brand. They sell high-quality fine jewelry without the retail markups. Their site is the perfect place to find a gift for a best friend!

Pins are the perfect way to accessorize a plain denim jacket, some vintage cuttofs, or even a backpack.

And last, but certainly not least, the "bad bitch" brass heart necklace by NYC brand In God We Trust." Make sure to check out all of the "sweet nothing" designs on their website to discover other cheeky heart necklaces.

GIFT GUIDE: beauty

GIFT GUIDE: beauty

Part 2 of my 2015 holiday gift guide series!!

We all need a little pampering sometimes, so I've put together a collection of beauty products that are sure to make anyone's day.

My favorites in this set are probably the Mask of Magnanimity by LUSH (the green one) and the Sephora Sheet Masks (my favorite are the green tea and the pearl ones!). I haven't tried any of the other products, but I'm dying to get my hands on that Butter London nail lacquer, if anyone wants to get it for me...

A DAY WITH RICK + ALDO

Thanksgiving break means some of my friends are able to come back to LA for a few days before returning to schools all over the country. I met Rick over the summer and was so excited when he let me know he would be in town and was dying to shoot.

We grabbed coffee and lunch at one of my favorite spots - Go Get Em Tiger - in Larchmont Village, then scouted some shoots locations and got right to it. The first spot was one I had seen while driving home from the West Side; white walls and a couple newsstands.

Of course, my first (and very intelligent) thought was to stand on top of them.

We then set off Downtown to try to get into a cool loft space. Nothing like ample natural light and some huge windows to make for some amazing shadows and a killer shot.

By some miracle, we got a handful of shots without being noticed or kicked out. All in all, an extremely successful day.

Make sure to check out Rick's site and Instagram. He's seriously an amazing person, as well as an extremely talented photographer and creative.

Ending note: how incredible are these Aldo sock boots??? I was beyond thrilled when Aldo emailed me wanting to collaborate. There are bag people, and then there are shoe people. I am, and will forever be, a shoe person, and these are easily in my top five favorite pairs.
