MADEWELL - DENIM RULES TO DRESS BY

You know what feels really, really cool? Getting an email from one of your favorite brands asking you to help them promote a campaign.

Madewell has been one of my go-to brands for YEARS. Their high-quality denim is incredible and shines in their perfectly cut jeans. Paired with their updated basics, Madewell jeans are the secret to an effortlessly cool look.

This campaign is focused on theme of "Denim Rules to Dress By." When it comes to personal style, it's my belief that you should wear what you feel most comfortable in - that could mean something different for each person. That being said, my main point is that comfort is key.

So here's my denim rule to dress by: slightly distressed boyfriend cut denim, paired with the comfiest sandals you own and a cropped v-neck tee.

Simple, comfortable, classic. You can't go wrong.

Month 3 vibes:

-getaways (take a weekend to road trip somewhere! Do it in the name of mental spring cleaning)

-skincare skincare skincare (Summer is almost here for us in the Northern Hemisphere - let's prep our skin for those harsh rays of sun and make sure we keep our faces fresh and protected)

NYFW RTW FALL 2016: skin is in

New York Fashion is over and now it's time to look everything over and see what trends we'll expect for this fall season. For beauty, fresh and clean skin is in. From Jason Wu to Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone to Ralph Lauren and Altuzarra, we saw glowing complexions with beautiful brows, a bit of blush, and swipes of mascara.

Simple is best.

I, myself, prefer minimal makeup. I keep my "beauty routine" simple - Neutrogena Oil-Free Face Wash in the morning and before bed, and  Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. For makeup - MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 foundation (which is actually wayyyyy lighter than you would expect it to be), Anastasia Brow Definer, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara and NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker, plus the occasional application of Burts Bees.

FEBRUARY MOOD BOARD

February - the month that has Valentine's Day in it. Yep. The month I've always spent accepting the fact that I'm alone and will spend the 14th like any other day, while other adorable couples go on cute dates and do whatever else cute couples do.

But you know what? Fuck it. A lot of the time, Valentine's Day is basically a day that makes every single person feel bad. Apparently some people even throw anti-Valentine's Day parties?

Valentine's Day is about love. While many of us hope to find that one person with whom we can completely be ourselves, it's also okay to be single. So let's spend Valentine's Day loving ourselves instead of feeling bad about the fact that we aren't cuddled up on the couch with a significant other, watching some rom com with a freshly-gifted bouquet of roses on the counter and a box of artisan chocolates in our laps. Who says you need someone else to do all of those things?

Treat yo self.

Buy yourself a bouquet of flowers. Seriously, it's amazing what some fresh blooms can do to brighten up your day. Go to your favorite cupcake shop and buy that red velvet cupcake you've been denying yourself in the name of New Years resolutions. Put on your favorite movie and buy yourself some lingere that makes you feel sexy. Order takeout from your favorite restaurant. Postmates is a beautiful thing, my friends.
