NYFW FALL RTW: florals

Another belated NYFW post...I think this is my last one, even though I gathered so many clippings of NYFW trends I wanted to collage/talk about.

*sigh*

You'll just have to look out for PFW posts instead. At least PFW was more recent, and posting about it would be less belated than posting about NYFW.

Remember that line in "The Devil Wears Prada?" : "Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking."*

Well, guess what? These florals, both printed and live, were featured on strappy heels, gauzy dresses, furry coats and whimsical crowns - all for FALL. So guess what, Miranda (Priestly). Florals. For Fall. Groundbreaking.

NYFW FALL RTW 2016: outerwear trends

Another day, another belated blog post. I swear, I created this polyvore set right in the middle of NYFW. And then, of course, I forgot all about it and it never made it to the blog on time. Fashion month has since ended. Ugh. I'll try harder next time, I swear.

For those of you who didn't closely follow Fashion Month, ignore everything I just stated above.

Here are some outerwear trends from NYFW FALL RTW 2016. My favorite? Probably the sleek leather + fur collars. Do I need to age 10 years to pull that off? Or can I just start my badass leather coat phase right now.

NYFW RTW FALL 2016: skin is in

New York Fashion is over and now it's time to look everything over and see what trends we'll expect for this fall season. For beauty, fresh and clean skin is in. From Jason Wu to Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone to Ralph Lauren and Altuzarra, we saw glowing complexions with beautiful brows, a bit of blush, and swipes of mascara.

Simple is best.

I, myself, prefer minimal makeup. I keep my "beauty routine" simple - Neutrogena Oil-Free Face Wash in the morning and before bed, and  Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. For makeup - MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 foundation (which is actually wayyyyy lighter than you would expect it to be), Anastasia Brow Definer, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara and NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker, plus the occasional application of Burts Bees.
