HOME WITH SNOWE
With November right around the corner, LA has graciously decided to give us the occasional Fall day. These cloudy, breezier days are hard to come by, so when I wake up to a gloomy morning, or rain (!!!), all I want to do is stay at home...with SNOWE. I've always loved looking at, and shopping for, home decor. I used to hoard Crate & Barrel catalogs. The prospect of moving out of my parents' house when I transfer to a university next Fall has my imagination (and my Pinterest) running wild with visions of beautiful apartment. Those visions seem far away the second I start adding up the numbers, and then get revised to something like this: "I'll probably be good with just a standard mattress and some silverware from Target....*sigh*"
Then, I found out about SNOWE. This couple-founded, New York-based brand is all about providing high-quality home essentials at affordable prices. SNOWE is the answer to my (and so many others') "I can't afford any of the plates, silverware, blankets, or pillows I want" problem.
For my partnership with the brand, I selected The Indulgent Set, which has "let's stay home and curl up on the couch with some champagne while we binge-watch Netflix" written all over it. I'm convinced that this is the perfect gift set — a pair of champagne flutes, a candle, and a merino wool-cashmere-silk throw blanket. This set will definitely be coming with me to wherever I end up living next year, and if it's all I have in my apartment for the first three months, then so be it. I'll be set. Who needs bedding when you have a super soft blanket to burrito-roll yourself into? Bowls for cereal? I'll just use a champagne flute. No heating/too crunched to pay the electricity bill? Candle.
From here on out, this lovely gift from SNOWE will be an excuse to indulge myself on a weekly basis. I am so happy with the quality of these items. The blanket feels luxe, and is the perfect shade of gray for any season. The champagne flutes are beautiful and delicate, but still feel sturdy so I'm not preoccupied by the horrifying thought of snapping the stem in half while drinking a virgin mimosa (When you're 20, and not 21, mimosas consist of orange juice and La Croix). And last, but not least — the candle. Candles are a tricky thing to buy online because you never quite know what that fragrance combo is going to smell like when you receive it. SNOWE's "Pillow Talk" is all sorts of sexy and versatile, the perfect unisex scent.
With this, I think I have everything I need. I could probably move into a place tomorrow and just treat every day like a lazy Sunday, spent at home with SNOWE.
